Originally from Queens, NY, light lyric/coloratura soprano Vanessa Rodriguez, holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from the University of South Florida.

Kicking off 2020, Ms. Rodriguez was thrilled to have performed a recital honoring God, her parents and her heritage as the first Guest Artist of the year in the College of Arts and Letters Recital Series at the University of Tampa Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values. Another highlight for the start of the new year was performing the role of Frasquita in Carmen with Opera Tampa.

Praised by Opera News for the “clear beauty” of her voice and her “spot-on comic timing,” mezzo-soprano Sarah Nordin brings an exquisite blend of vocal artistry and strong dramatic instincts to a variety of repertoire across opera and concert stages. Ms. Nordin’s 2019-2020 season features Sarah as Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro with Geneva Light Opera, Maddelena in Rigoletto with St Petersburg Opera and Gulf Coast Symphony, Buttercup in HMS Pinafore with First Coast Opera and Edith in Pirates of Penzance with Opera Tampa. Other upcoming engagements include Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia with Knoxville Opera, Nicklausse and the Muse in Tales of Hoffman with Opera Tampa and Angelina in La Cenerentola with Geneva Light Opera.

A spinto tenor from Sonora, Mexico, Guillermo López has been hailed as one of the promising voices in Mexico and the United States. Beginning his musical journey as a pianist before college, Mr. López decided to pursue a professional singing career after the quality of his voice was discovered. He has participated as a soloist in the International Festival Alfonso Ortiz Tirado in Álamos, Mexico. In 2014 Mr. López performed in the world premiere of the opera Ilegal Alien by the Mexican composer Alfonso Molina. He also participated in the world premiere of the opera El pajecillo de Felipe V by the Mexican composer Antonio de María y Campos in Sonora, México. He worked with the Hermosillo Opera company on the production of Donizetti’s Don Pasquale as Ernesto.

Possessing a bass voice described as “robust and resonant” by TheatreMania and deemed a “standout” by Opera Magazine, Tyler Putnam performs a variety of repertoire ranging from Sarastro in The Magic Flute to Luther Billis in South Pacific. A former apprentice singer with The Santa Fe Opera, Tyler had the privilege of debuting the role of Kobun in a workshop performance of Mark Campbell and Mason Bates’ 2017 opera, The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs. Some recent engagements include Frank in Die Fledermaus with Opera Orlando and a concert of Broadway hits with the Gulf Coast Symphony in Fort Myers, Florida. The pandemic has thus far been an artistically fulfilling time for Tyler. He sang the role of Banquo from his living room in Heartbeat Opera’s experimental online workshop presentation of Lady M, a new adaptation of Verdi’s Macbeth. He has also been performing regularly with his wife, Sarah Nordin, both digitally and in socially distanced live performances.
Sungkyeong Kim

Born in Korea, Sungkyeong Kim is a Tampa-based pianist, conductor and educator currently  residing in Tampa. She has performed in numerous recitals both as soloist and collaborative  pianist in Korea, United States, Canada, and Italy. Sungkyeong currently works with the cello  studio at the University of South Florida as a collaborative pianist and coach. She is a sought  after collaborative pianist in the Tampa area.
